UNICO, an Italian American organization is blasting MTV’s new reality show Jersey Shore that “relies on crude (Italian) stereotypes and highlights cursing, bad behavior and violence…”. Or Guidos for short.
Unico also criticized the Sopranos for the same reasons. Is this anger justifiable? Or does MTV have a right to depict subcultures?
